NDA WRITTEN EXAM

National Defense Academy (NDA) is one of the most prestigious institutions respected all over the world. The candidates join young after 10+2 and pass out after three years as graduates for intake into the Indian Army, Indian Naval Academy, and Air Force. The exam is conducted by the union public service commission (UPSC) in the month of April and September each year.

 SSB Interview: About 3 lakh students appear for NDA UPSC Exam and only 8 to 10 Thousand students pass this exam. All the candidates who pass are called to appear for SSB Interview. Total vacancies are generally 400 to 450, so one needs to prepare well to face the SSB Interview.

INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY (IMA)

Indian Military Academy founded in 1932 is located at Dehradun. It trains male candidates only for Permanent Commission into the Indian Army. The course duration varies between one year to one and a half years, depending on the type of entry. Indian Military Academy is yet another cradle of leadership. The IMA trains you to lead from the front. You are trained in all aspects of combat and tactics using technology and other modern tools and technologies. The IMA has excellent facilities for all-round  development. You can go for adventure sports like river rafting, para jumping, rock climbing, trekking and mountaineering. From the IMA, you're commissioned as a "Lieutenant" in the Indian Army.


OFFICERS TRAINING ACADEMY (OTA -  (Men & Women)

Officers Training Academy, Chennai is another prestigious institution for getting trained to become an Officer. The Officers Training Academy, Chennai is a training establishment of the Indian Army that trains officers for the Short Service Commission. The 49-week course at the OTA prepares graduates for all branches of the Army, except for the Army Medical Corps.You also have the option of  Joining the Army and serving as a Commissioned Officer for 10/14 years. At the end of 10 yrs you have 3 options. Either elect for a Permanent Commission or opt out or have the option of 4 years extension. They can resign at any time during this period of  4 yrs extension.


Indian Naval Academy (NA)

The Indian Naval Academy also inducts candidates through CDS exams called as NA course. The basic qualification is Engineering Graduate.


Air Force Academy (AF)

One can join Air Force Academy also through CDS exam. One need degree in BSC(Physics and Math) or degree in Engineering from recognized college or University. The age limit is 19 years to 23 years at the time of joining.
 

Eligibility Criteria

Age: 19-24 years

Qualification: Graduate Degree (in any stream) or Equivalent (final year students can also apply for UPSC Exam)

Height: 162.5 cm

ARMY CADET COLLEGE

Army Cadet College (ACC) trains soldiers serving in the Army, Navy and Air Force to become officers.

It is one of the wings of IMA as is known as SIACHEN BATTALION. The ACC was shifted from Pune to Dehradun in the year 1977. The training at ACC is a four years programme where in the cadets are also awarded a Graduation Degree from JNU. During first three years of training and the final year training is done at IMA.

AFCAT ENTRY WRITTEN EXAM COACHING

AFCAT ENTRY

AFCAT is the Air Force Common Admission Test conducted by the Indian Air Force twice each year for Short Service Commission in Flying branch is for 14 years with no further extension.. After clearing the AFCAT, one has to go for the SSB interview conducted by the Air Force Selection Board. To clear AFCAT exam, one definitely needs to get coaching and guidance in a good coaching institute like Cadeto India. In order to prepare for this exam, one has to maintain a routine of regular study. A regular coaching class will help you in maintaining this routine.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Age - 20 to 24 years (at the time of commencement of course).Upper age limit for Candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxed up to 26 years(at the time of commencement of course).

  • Educational Qualifications
  • Minimum of 60% marks each in Maths & Physics at 10+2 level.

Paper - I

General Ability & Intelligence -250 marks.

  

The objective type questions with multiple choices in this paper will broadly cover the following areas:
1. General Mental Ability: The questions will be designed to test the logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude including numerical ability, and data interpretation.
2. General Science: The questions will be set to test general awareness, scientific temper, comprehension and appreciation of scientific phenomena of everyday observation including new areas of importance like Information Technology, Biotechnology, Environmental Science.
3. Current Events of National and International Importance: The questions will test the candidates’ awareness of current events of national and international importance in the broad areas of culture, music, arts, literature, sports, governance, societal and developmental issues, industry, business, globalisation, and interplay among nations.
4. Indian Polity and Economy: The questions shall aim to test candidates’ knowledge of the Country’s political system and the Constitution of India, social systems and public administration, economic development in India, regional and international security issues and human rights including its indicators.
5. History of India: The questions will broadly cover the subject in its social, economic and political aspects. This shall also include the areas of growth of nationalism and freedom movement.
6. Indian and World Geography: The questions shall cover the physical, social and economic aspects of geography pertaining to India and the World.

Essay, Precis writing and Comprehension   (Essay in Eng / Hindi, Precis & Comprehension – Only in Eng) 150 marks

 Part-A - Essay questions which are to be answered in long narrative form either in Hindi or English totalling 80 Marks. The indicative topics are modern Indian history especially of the freedom struggle, geography, polity and economy, knowledge of security and human rights issues, and analytical ability.
Part-B - Comprehension, précis writing, other communications/language skills to be attempted in English only (Marks 120) - The topics are Comprehension passages, précis writing,  developing counter arguments, simple grammar and other aspects of language testing.
